I love this piece that arrived in my inbox today from Everyday Feminism. And I love the concept of the art piece that we are allowed to glimpse in the article… vaginas from 400 different women. Penises are everywhere in art, but vulvas are almost never seen. I was fascinated, and still am. There are so many variations and shapes and sizes. It helps me feel more normal and proud of my own anatomy to see all the ways in which a vulva takes shape. And, true to the purpose of the article, the writer wants her readers to understand that we are all perfect just the way we were born. That we dont need to change ourselves and we should definitely not be ashamed of our genitals… So, read the article to learn more about your vulva and learn to love yourself just a whittle bit more.
The piece originally appeared on a site called, “Adios Barbie.”
And the ever fascinating… “Great Wall of Vagina.” These are plaster molds of women who volunteered! Very cool, but where’s the hair???
Vulva Power!!
